How fast is your truck at 6500 pounds lol what’s your 0 to 60 haha
I think this is sweet. I currently carry a battery powered impact like people suggest but also have to carry a 12v compressor for airing back up after the trail, which takes forever with big tires. You got the best of both worlds in one mod. very smart.
Its been my setup for years before battery powered tools was a thing lol. The switch would be nice but with my setup, I never worry about a dead impact battery.
What outer tie rods are you using to have enough thread through the uniball bracket for the castlet nut?
OEM outer tie rods, Oem rack and pinion. no issues as long as you center your rack during install. I had plenty of threads on both sides and was fairly even
Worst bearing design ever!
Hey bud, I just installed the 100w solar panel and the renogy charge controller. It stays on float mode at .80 amp. Does yours do that? Just wondering if its overcharging?
my amp varies depending on sun. my vehicle is constantly using power as I have some accessories that are on 24/7. I suppose if your battery is full than it would just maintain the battery at a lower amps just to keep it topped off all the time
Ive seen some videos of guys talking about the cost benefits and they always bring the maintenance because those don't have "weather" protection...what kind of maintenance would it need?
@@pedrozalves I have had upper control arm uni balls for 11 years now and I just pressure wash them to keep them clean and spray wd40 when they make noise. I will be doing the same with the lower ones.
Im just studding the design...and defenetly I would pay
The reason you’re saying some smoke is because you’re supposed to keep the wood below the gap ring around the stove
@@Johncollins219 awesome. I’ll keep that in mind next time I use it. Thank you.
Ive been eyeing this kit for my Sequoia. Thanks for making this video.

Do you think a lift Subaru outback wilderness could make it through that first half before it opens up? I've never have been there but been wanting to go.
you can see from the start of the video how rutted out some of the areas are. I dont know how an outback will do with limited ground clearance and wheel travel would do.
@@Wonger559 I have about 11" clearance with my wilderness. Running 245/65 17 tires. I would love to make it out to those meadows...

nice. it will extend your battery life.
@@Wonger559 learned from your video and had to give it a try cause of my aftermarket audio system and running 2 agm batteries. Glad I did. Now my batteries will last me longer plus the amplifier is happy with the better voltage.
Haha 😂😂😂😂
Hey brother. I have an 03 Tacoma resto project going on. Just painted it coyote Tan bedliner, new engine on the way. Previously put a TRD Elocker & truetrac front Diff in it along with a Northwest off-road trails custom front bumper. The Suspension has 5100 at stock setting with OME 0884 springs. The UCA are SPE with the adjustable upper ball joint set at max Negative caster. I’m curious how you like your Solo LCAs? The TC ball joint swap may be in my future as I already had a Moog “problem solver” break. May go with the Solo LCA when I do the swap.
They are a little noise but it was expected. I love them so far as it allowed me to upgrade to poly bushings. They also do offer a little more ground clearance and able to dial in more caster
This is not the way...
why is that?
thank you for no obnoxious rambling and just amazing views and background chorus! sick spot
Never torqued to 125ft.lbs. *Laughs in heavy equipment tech* Haha, great video man. I just had a lower ball joint fail after about 9 months and maybe 5,000 miles, considering this upgrade now. Don't trust jobber parts!
@@Chromedragon79 haha. Wasn’t a fan of heavy line work. I prefer interior and electrical diag and repairs lol

I have been wanting to get the rest of the plates for my sequoia for a bit but I did buy the trans skid plate with the cat guards a few years back due to my cats being stolen while parked at work one day, supposedly secure lot with cameras but didn't get anything on it lol go figure. Nice touch with the torx
@@Wonger559 thanks, it helps to keep things at least a bit more secure lol
When you're dispersed camping like this, where do you store your food if theres no bear box?
Never store my food in bear boxes. Rarely do I go to area that have bear boxes so I never thought about it.
@Wonger559 do you just keep it in the car? I've never dispersed camped/overlanded but I'm hoping to go soon, just wanna make sure I'm not attracting bears lol
@@vincenzohhh guess it depends on the area. I have yet to encounter a bear lol. all the food stays in the front cab area and we sleep in the bed.
Nice video and thanks for mentioning your experience with the caster. Did you have any trouble getting the cotter pin in the ball joint with this arm? Also, any trouble with the lack of steering stops?
cotter pin was tricky but it went in with no problem. I don't go lock to lock even before this setup.
Really nice video but, you need to work on balancing the sound. Had to turn way up to hear conversation then, be johnny on the spot to turn down when music came on. Nearly blew out a set of speakers.
@@johnallen2013 apologies about the sound. Some of the original audio was hit with copyright so I had to do a music over after the fact.
Couldn’t you just take the chip out of your key and tape it to the side of the ignition switch and forget all that junk then any key cut correctly will work
I could of but I still wanted the extra security feature.
How did you get the light off of the spoiler? Mine has plastic caps over the screws. Cant figure out how to get them off without breaking it
There shouldnt be any plastic caps. Do you have a factory spoiler or did someone put different screws on?
Thanks for the reply! After I took things apart I found that the wires were spliced and not even properly, so I'm guessing the light is aftermarket. I found a work around tho. Love the channel!
@@atonvent glad you figured it out
Planning to head there this summer. Do you need reservations for the sites close to the bathroom or is it first come first serve? Thanks for sharing!
Deadlun Campground is first come first serve, no reservations needed.
@@Wonger559thank you sir! Can’t wait to explore around the area. I’ve seen on other videos that there’s a small waterfall there. Guess you guys didn’t make it there?
@@hybrid902000 I wasn't familiar with the area. I just seen a photo of the lake someone posted with the location and I just made a trip out of it lol.
This is one of the most disgusting and disheartening videos I've seen in a while. I've heard about all the "overlander" crowds in area, but never really experienced it or seen it personally until this video. This area is being destroyed and will only be a matter of time before it's "limited or permit required use only" because of all these people. That area can't support all those people at one time, and was never intended to have that many people crammed into that area at one time. It saddens and disgusts me because I've been going to that area for over 25 years and never in my wildest dreams could I imagine that many people up there at once. You people don't even respect the area. You are required to have your camp be a minimum of 100' away from water sources, not only for potential pollution run-off, but more importantly to allow wildlife to access water sources too. I mean come on, you're right up against a wilderness area, although I'm sure almost everyone up there doesn't know that or could careless! Everyone up there is more worried about their instagram shots and showing off their overland gear than they are about the actual outdoor experience. It's not about getting in the wilderness anymore, it's all about the look at me and what I have bolted to my vehicle. Case in point, you go all that way to camp in an absolutely amazing area and you watch a movie. Must have been wonderful for all your neighbors, but looking at how everyone everyone else is adhering to the 100' setback, I'm sure you weren't the only movie watchers.

Hey, you have issues with your steering rack much? I had my steering rack go out and rebuilt it through solomotorsports. Then I went on a camping trip 12miles or so off road pretty bumpy but went slow and now I have play in my rack and inner tie rod has play too! It like my truck can’t handle rough roads, lol
No issues with my steering rack. I do have a brand new OEM rack and pinion and fairly new oem outer tie rod ends. If you watch my newest video. I was jumping and hauling on some pretty rough roads at 20 psi. I typically run 15psi or less but with as much miles we had to cover on dirt, it was a compromise to get some better mpg lol
@@Wonger559 thanks, probably should air down more…. Have you tried any quick disconnect links for sway bar? I seen redrunner makes some that look like they will work.

Anytime. Glad I was able to help. Need to plan another trip out there again.
@@Wonger559 I'll invite you when my friends and I plan one.
Hey how do you get here? Second video if seen of it but dunno how to go. How much do they charge to camp and where do you get a pass from if they do?
Yeah, that looks like all you need in a kit for one or two people. Now JetBoil will need to approach you for your design! One suggestion to save space -maybe even enough space to be able to carry a 1lb tank inside your kit - is to store the Luna and the pot support *inside* the cup. That's where I keep my Luna burner with my Genesis system. It's designed to do that.
I use a 1.4 gallon aluminum tank but I do like the idea of fitting a 1lb tank inside. Be sweet if jetboil reached out lol.
Where did you buy the blue tool from?

Quick question for u? I added a pressure switch and it seems to work! however the compressor comes back on every 30 seconds or so for maybe 1 second. Is this normal? Or am I losing pressure somewhere? I thought once it reached the desired psi and was not in use it would stay off until I turned it on
Sounds like a leak. Hit it with some soapy water
what rack did you install on top of the camper?

nice set up. I use a half gen with the luna combo on trips when I cant use a backpacking stove. I wanted something i could make breakfast in the skillet while percolating coffee. For dinner I cook in the skillet while boiling potatoes/making soup at the same time.
